Retro Game Night 2014

Retro Game Night will be hosted on Saturday, July 5th at Bridges Rock Gym. The event will begin promptly at seven o'clock. You are welcome to come before then to climb so long as you complete and submit this waiver in advance. Friday is student night at this venue so you may feel free to preview some of the facilities at bridges for a heavily discounted rate while you wait for the event to start. This rock gym features the tallest bouldering rock west of the Mississippi River. There is also top-rope climbing and a series of slack lines and tight lines for balance walking. Yes, there will also be a zip-line.

Four TVs will be setup with a variety of video-game systems. Three will be upstairs and the TV downstairs will be fully utilized as well. The game systems confirmed so far for the event are as such: Atari 2600, Nintendo 64, Playstation 3 with cabinet-style controllers, and Wii-U. Here is a list of games available for selection:

  2. Street Fighter II
  3. Marvel vs. Capcom HD
  4. Madden 2013
  5. Over 40 Atari classics
There will be one TV designated for a casual Super Smash Bros 64 single elimination tournament. A new champion must be crowned due to a lapse in time from the previous victor. Click here for the SSB 64 rules. There will however be a number of fun prizes. If there is an over-flow of people there will be a Nintendo-theme monopoly game setup to accommodate everyone.
